The following factors will cause degradation of lubricating oils:

● Lubricating oil is influenced by temperature, pressure, mixture, flowage and splash, etc. The oil may be oxidized and mixed with water to generate salt substance, organic acid and deposit which can speed-up the rust of metal components and abrasion of mechanical surface.
● Impurities such as mixed fuel oil, cutting liquid, moisture, dust, metal powder, acid, alkali, etc will also degrade lubricating oil.
● Water, air, etc, entering in insulating oil will decrease the withstand voltage of the oil quickly; so temperature and insulation effect can not be achieved.

● Mixed incomplete combustion fuel oil, carbon particle and sulfur dioxide, etc. generated by sulfur-fuel, etc will erode friction surface.
